Alex Chen, Partner

Alex Chen

Alex Chen is a Partner with Acuña ❖ Regli.

He acts as a guide to those who seek legal authority to provide care and support for the incapacitated individuals in their lives. He also assists clients in bringing resolution and closure to the financial affairs of loved ones who have recently passed away.

Alex is a proud UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) and Loyola Law School alum. Coming out of law school, he always told himself that he did not want to practice either criminal law or insurance law. His first job, of course, was working for a national surety company as in-house counsel for the bail bonds department. After broadening his horizons there for several years, he made the move to northern California and to the trusts and estates area of law. He joined Acuña ❖ Regli in 2015 and enjoys the gratification of seeing care provided for an elder in need and from helping provide closure to a family after the death of a loved one.

Alex currently serves as the Secretary of the East Bay Trusts and Estate Lawyers (EBTEL) and is an active member of the Alameda and Contra Costa County Bar Associations and the Professional Fiduciary Association of California. He volunteers his time with the Volunteer Legal Services Corporation at their guardianship clinic to provide legal support for self-represented individuals seeking guardianship over minors. He also is an active member at his church and loves playing sports or reading in his spare time. Alex speaks conversational Mandarin.
